About LooScout
A free map of public toilets, built from open data and kept honest by the people who use it.
LooScout is a free map of public toilets. Open it, tap once, and it shows you the nearest loo that's open right now, with directions, price and accessibility.
Where the data comes from
Two places. Most toilets come from OpenStreetMap, the open map built by volunteers, which we import and refresh regularly. Everything else comes from people using LooScout: adding loos that are missing, rating the ones they use, and suggesting fixes when something changes.
Every new loo and every edit is checked by a moderator before it goes live.
Why it exists
Not knowing where the next toilet is keeps a lot of people at home: people with IBD or Crohn's, parents of small children, wheelchair users, older people, anyone on a long day out. Good, current information makes going out less of a gamble.
How you can help
- Rate the loos you use. One tap, and it tells the next person whether it's worth the walk.
- Add the ones we're missing. Stand by the door, tap "I'm at the loo right now" and you're nearly done.
- Fix what's out of date. Opening hours and prices change; a quick edit keeps everyone right.
Contributions earn points and badges on the leaderboard.

LooScout is an independent project, maintained by one person and improved by its community. Questions and ideas are always welcome on the contact page.
